NewClassic cars and motorcycles

  • Blink and display code reader for pre-1996 GM, Ford EEC-IV, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda and Nissan, and for Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha motorcycles. Tap along with the light; SmartChecker decodes it.
  • GM ALDL 8192-baud datalogger with CSV logging. Imports TunerPro .adx definitions you own.
  • K-line bike scan that finds the engine module's address on the bike itself.
  • Connector guide for older vehicles and motorcycles, including Euro 5 bikes.

NewAccounts, licenses and the Community Hub

  • Lifetime v2.x licenses: Mobile Tech, Hardware Starter Bundle and Pro Shop. Activate online or offline; move to a new PC from your account.
  • Free mode: without a license, real vehicles are read-only and the demo vehicles are fully unlocked.
  • Pro Shop sync shares customers, repair orders, invoices and the Fix Log between bays.
  • Community Hub: share, rate and install functional-test packs, checked against strict safety rules. Bounty program for verified packs.

SafetyFail-safes

  • If the adapter is unplugged during a test, SmartChecker reconnects and hands the output back to the module.
  • Tests stop by themselves below 11 V. Cheap ELM327 clones can't run module tests.
  • Reflashing needs you to type AGREE, confirming a battery maintainer is connected.
  • First-run beta terms, and opt-in crash reports with VINs and personal data removed.

NewDiagnostics

  • Ford HS2-CAN at 500 kbps on pins 3/11 is found automatically (2015+ F-150 and others).
  • Head Tech explains what to do when Ollama isn't running, runs out of memory, or is missing a model, and falls back to typing when there's no microphone.
  • Older imports: SmartChecker retries the K-line start-up when a 1996–2004 ECU sends unusual key bytes.
  • ADAS calibration preparation and road-drive procedure.

ExperimentalNew hardware

  • Diagnostics over Ethernet (DoIP) and J2534 CAN FD for 2020+ architectures.
  • PicoScope 2000 series oscilloscope with a live-data strip chart; a demo scope works without hardware.
  • Chrysler CCD/SCI Scanner support, and a seed/key plug-in SDK for shops with their own algorithms.

Experimental features follow the published standards but haven't been tested on every vehicle yet. Turn them on in Settings → Experimental features, and tell us how they work for you.
